Feejee Mermaid (upright):

This is a replica of the Feejee Mermaid inspired by PT Barnum's "genuine fake".
 
The original was sculpted by John Weisgerber. Castings from a monkey skeleton were used for the armature. It measures 18 inches tall and stands on a base that is 6 inches wide. This figure is cast in black resin and given a dusty finish giving it a mummified appearance.
